Buying a suit (a lesson in patience for tall bastards living in countries full of short people)
I decided I needed another suit. It was my day off so I went to Namba and Shinsaibashi (two districts of Osaka) to look for a suit. I quickly found out the height of a tall Japanese person, 185 cm. Finding a suit 190+cm was almost an exercise in futility, but somehow I found a big and tall shop above a Pachinko parlor (which reminds me that I still need to talk about Pachinko).
Since we’re talking about height, I saw my first tall Japanese person today (in Nara). It was an exciting 5 seconds.

I see a lot of tall Japanese people up here in Tohoku. Blame it on the Ainu blood. In fact, the tallness of people up here has actually disapointed me. I’m still about average height.
