Let’s celebrate the birth of our savior (and gardener) with some whiskey and sex!
So…. uhhhhh…. sorry. My flatmate got Final Fantasy 12 and I was entranced for a while. Shouldn’t be much of a problem now (I’m now in weekly Final Fantasy Anonymous meetings). So now it’s time for the Holiday post!
I shall talk about the wonderful holiday of Christmas, which is quite different in Japan. Most of you go home and spend Christmas with your family, but it’s not like that here. To try to understand Christmas in Japan think about how you spend New Years in America; you are probably around your friends and you might be incoherent and babbling about FSM knows what. That’s partly what it’s like here. You might spend your Christmas with your parents when you’re young. As you get older you will go out and have some sort of celebration that would be standard fare for an American celebration of the New Year.
Another thing they do here is Christmas Cake; this, of course, will be the next food item and will be posted in a couple days (hopefully). Christmas Cake is a cake with whipped cream icing and strawberries. That’s it for now.
A few random things:
- The name for the food posts will be “Miso Hungry”.
- Sam helped me install Gallery. Now all of you will be able to see many more pictures.
- Most importantly, have a Merry Christmas.
