Men’s Fashion in Japan
Men’s Fashion is really interesting sometimes. For work they usually wear a suit. Of course, any job with a suit is a desk-job (or something similar). The thing is, even when they wear a suit many of them are really stylish. You don’t need a picture to visualize what a Japanese business suit looks like. If you do….. there are probably tons of pictures on the internet of Japanese businessmen (well…. maybe not tons).
The other really interesting thing is what Japanese men look like when they’re not at work, which constitutes roughly 1 hour per week. In Shinsaibashi (心斎橋, one of the shopping districts in Osaka) I almost thought that I was in Final Fantasy 8. This one guy seriously looked like Squall (sans gunblade and facial scar); everyone doesn’t look like they’re in a Final Fantasy game.
Things that are currently big for men’s fashion in Japan: Styled Hair, Long Hair, and Tight Pants. And most of them have great fashion sense. It’s amazing to be in a country where a majority of the people have a good fashion sense. I don’t have pictures of any of these crazy fashionable males, but I’ll try to get some.
