What’s the title? I don’t know. Tell me.
So there have been some suggestions on what the name of the title of the food articles should be. Here they are:
Miso Hungry
Go-Chase-osama deshita
I’m still waiting on my Jinglish
A/The/This weeks/Our/Your Journey(s) into Chase’s mouth
That’s it. The only suggestions I got were from Mark and Sam; go you guys. So which one do I use? It’s up to you guys.
So this weeks’ food article, being the first, is going to be a major staple. No, it’s not rice (maybe next time?)… it’s Miso. I think that pretty much everyone that reads this blog has had the bland, usually-cubic substance called tofu. Many of you have probably also had miso. Miso is something that can be eaten with every meal, which is probably why you can get miso nearly anywhere.
If you don’t like soybeans….. just stay in America.
Why is miso so popular? I’m not really sure, but my guess is that it goes great with rice. Rice is boring; it’s just like tofu but with a better texture. When you have miso and then rice one after the other, the rice tastes better. If you have rice and there’s no topping you should get miso, it’s definitely worth the 100 yen (if it doesn’t come with the meal).
There’s also many different ways that miso is served. Miso always has some seaweed in it and some tofu. However, the tofu could be tiny cubes or it could be strips of fried tofu. Somehow, fried tofu has negative taste (I don’t know how this doesn’t break foodology and create a rift in space); therefore, if you can choose, always choose the tiny cubes of tofu. There could also be other things in your miso. What are these things you ask? I don’t know, I just eat what is given to me. Why don’t you ask when you come to Japan? You don’t know how? Bah I say, bah.
What you do is point at the thing and say “それはなんですか?” (so re wa nan des ka? Or What is this?). There. Will you understand the reply? Of course not.

Hey Chase, that is one super potato from your last post. It truly makes me want to get my wonder soft world! Hope everything’s going well over there for you.
there’s no question about it….. it must be “miso hungry”
I think your focus should be taken away from the mouth. Can I recommend “It all looks the same coming out (except corn.)”
I’ll go with “miso hungry” as well…
p.s. “kodomo dekita!”
I vote for one of Sam’s. You couldn’t afford the royalties if you used “Miso Hungry”. (Hint: we’re talking HUNDREDS of Yen)
