Miso Hungry 3:Someone tell the American Hobos where it be yo.
Time for the next food item! This time it’s カベツ焼き (Cabbage yaki). Doesn’t sound too great, does it? Well you would get egg in your face if you said that, cause I’d throw a カベツ焼き at you and it has egg in it. Consider yourself カベツ焼き’ed, motherカベツ焼きer.
So what is it? It’s this.
I just buy it and shove it in my mouth. If I’d ask what it was I’d probably just throw it up.
I’ve ate it a couple of times so I think I know what’s in it. Mostly it seems to be the sauce, cabbage, egg, and the pancake thingy. There might be something else in it, but it’s hard to tell. It’s a good snack and apparently it’s carnival/festival food. I have no idea, but I guess you can say that Osaka is like a festival everyday…. or maybe a hobo convention that never ends?
Cheap, tasty, you eat it with chopsticks. That’s all one can ask for.
Next episode: I surprise you (no, I didn’t get a sex change. ….. NO, I’m not blogging from a Japanese prison because I tried to demolish Osaka while wearing a godzilla suit).
