Remember school days? The wonderful time spent learning things that you use all the time. Oh Roland, your chanson is so beautiful in its daily usage. I am certain that all of you would like to revisit your school days so let’s learn some school words. How about 先生 (せんせい, teacher), 生徒 (せいと, student) and 学校 (がっこう, school)?
生徒に体罰をしなければ俺は教える理由がない。
せいとにたいばつをしなければおれはおしえるりゆうがない。
If I can’t punish my students then I have no reason to teach.
「先公」ということじゃなくて、あたしの肩書き、「先生」、でちゃんと呼んでください。
「せんこう」ということじゃなくて、あたしのかたがき、「せんせい」、でちゃんとよんでください。
Don’t call me teach. Call me by my title, teacher.
